What do you if you’re a Blue Dog Congressman who supports a federal takeover of healthcare?  Why, you call in liberal labor goons to spend millions to bail you out with voters and taxpayers.  In other news, the SEIU is spending millions to defend Indiana Congressmen Baron Hill, Brad Ellsworth, and Joe Donnelly.

Americans United for Change and AFSCME are going up with spots defending the 13 House members under attack from the Chamber of Commerce and 60-Plus Association for their health care votes.

The ads cast them as having cast a brave vote and angered the insurance industry. Backed by SEIU, the groups say they’ll put a total of $1.75 million behind the ads defending Baron Hill (IN-9), Brad Ellsworth (IN-8), Joe Donnelly (IN-2) — Politico

If you recall, the SEIU promised to spend “whatever it takes” to defeat Mitch Daniels in 2008.  They poured nearly a million dollars into the Jill Long Thompson campaign, which raised less than $5 million total, hoping to win back the governor’s office and unionize state employees at their expense.

The SEIU, which happens to be the nation’s fastest growing health care union, is back in action buying the votes of Blue Dog congressman like Baron Hill so the union has the opportunity to unionize all of health care.  But really, it’s about the uninsured.
