How to use the FH Legislation Tracker

1. Click here to sign up for a FrugalHoosiers.com user account (note: all you need is an e-mail address)
2. Use the drop-down menus above to find out specific information about a bill, or to find out how an individual legislator has been voting this session. If you are logged in, you will see a third option that allows you to see a list of all the bills you are tracking.
3. To track a bill, select it in the drop-down menu above and hit the 'Go' button. When the bill page loads, click "Follow this bill" under the bill's title.
4. When you follow a bill, you will recieve e-mail updates every time a vote is taken on your bill, or anytime the status of the bill changes (for example, when the Governor signs it into law). This can be turned off by clicking 'Follow the bills I'm tracking' above once you are logged in.
5. From any bill's page, you can click 'Send a Letter to the Editor' and a new window will pop up that allows you to send a letter directly to a local newspaper (a drop-down menu in the new window will allow you to select which paper).
6. From any bill's page, you can click 'E-mail' after a legislator's name to send an e-mail directly to that legislator.
